1. At a Glance

• Data Collection: Followly does not collect, transmit, store, or sell personal data. Your Instagram export stays on your device.

• Processing: All analysis is performed locally on your device. No cloud processing, no backend, no telemetry.

• Storage: Data lives in memory while the app is open. Use “Clear All Data” to wipe it instantly. Uninstalling the app removes any app data and caches maintained by the OS.

• Sharing/Tracking: No data is shared with third parties. No analytics, ads, or tracking SDKs.

• Permissions:

  • Files/Document Picker: For selecting your export ZIP file.

  • Open Instagram/App Links: To deep‑link to profiles you choose to view (e.g., to unfollow)

  • Photo Library (iOS, declared): For optional future media export; not required for analysis

• Children’s Privacy: Not targeted to children under 13.

2. Overview
   Followly is a mobile app that provides private, offline insights from your official Instagram data export. We do not operate servers for processing or storage. All parsing and analysis occur on your device.

3. Data You Provide
   You may choose to provide an official Instagram export ZIP file that can include:

• Followers: username, timestamp, href

• Following: username, timestamp

• Likes: username/title, timestamp, post URI

• Comments: comment text, timestamp, post URI, media owner

• Messages: sender, content (text only), timestamp, type; participants; chat title
  You may provide any subset; more files enable richer insights. The app does not require a login and does not use Instagram’s API.

4. Purpose of Processing
   On device, Followly parses and computes:

• Counts: followers, following, likes, comments, total messages, total chats

• Derived metrics: “not following back”, message stats (sent vs received)

• Rankings: top chat partners, most liked profiles, most commented profiles
  These insights are shown to you locally within the app.

5. Processing Location and Network Use

• Location: All processing runs locally on your device. We do not send your export or derived insights to external servers.

• Network: Followly performs no network requests for analysis. The only network‑like action is when you tap an “Unfollow” button; we open a deep link to Instagram (instagram:// or https://instagram.com/…), which launches the Instagram app or your browser.

6. Storage and Retention

• In‑App: Data is kept in memory (via app state) during your session.

• Clear All Data: You can erase all in‑app data at any time using the “Clear All Data” button.

• Uninstall: Removing the app also removes app data and any OS‑level caches associated with the app.

7. Sharing and Disclosure

• Third Parties: Followly does not share, sell, or transfer your personal data to third parties.

• SDKs: No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are integrated.

8. Permissions (iOS specifics)

• Document Picker / File Access: Used solely for you to select your export ZIP/JSON files.

• LSApplicationQueriesSchemes=instagram: Declared to enable deep linking to the Instagram app when you choose to view a profile.

• NSPhotoLibraryUsageDescription: Declared for possible future media import; not required for analytics and not used without your explicit action.

9. Security
   Because your data never leaves your device for processing, risks associated with remote transmission are minimized. We recommend using Followly only on devices you control and protecting your Instagram export files from unauthorized access.

10. Children’s Privacy
    Followly is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided data within the app, you can erase it immediately using “Clear All Data.”

11. Your Choices and Rights

• You choose whether to provide an export.

• You can delete data at any time via “Clear All Data” or by uninstalling the app.

• Since Followly does not collect or store data on external servers, requests to access, correct, or delete server‑stored data are generally not applicable.

12. Changes to This Policy
    We may update this policy to reflect product or legal changes. We will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of Followly after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
